Hooks

Hooks are one of the most important components of your fishing setup. Choosing the right hook affects your catch rate, hookset, and bait presentation.

Tip: The higher the number before the “/0”, the bigger the hook. Numbers without “/0” are smaller hooks.

  • Barbed Hooks
    • Help keep the fish hooked
    • Harder to remove and more damaging to fish
  • Barbless Hooks
    • Easier to remove and safer for catch-and-release
    • Slightly higher chance of losing fish if not careful
